Default Turbo Kits?

What options are out there and prices? All I really know about is the APR stage 3 and stage 3+ kits with the garret turbo. Is there a best bang for the buck? From what I know its a 8 K $ set up installed. Do I really have to spend that much to smoke a 350z? or give some of these STIs a run for there money?

Links Pics welcome! Im sure everyone would like to know.

Ive already chiped the car and upgraded the turbo once to a ko4.

How do the larger turbos run? More psi? I get about 24 psi now.

Still need to add a larger intercooler aswell but need to know what will fit upfront.

I just want a little more pull

Uhhh there's a few kits I know of apart from APR.

Del Rio makes one, it uses the 2871RS I believe, same as APR Stage III.
ATP has the eliminator kits, which are a gamble. Sometimes they drop right in (like they're supposed to) other times half the crap doesn't fit and requires extensive fabrication.
GReddy has a kit that uses an adapter plate on the stock manifold to mount a TD04 series turbo.

I'd probably just assemble a custom setup.

Used T25? It's slightly bigger than the K04.

APR uses the .64 and Del Rio uses .86. But yeah, they're both gt2871r.

I wouldn't use a custom setup unless you know turbos well or have a shop who really knows their stuff. Just my opinion though.

The .86 is kind of a dog and isnt streetable as a .64. Look up vwauditek on vortex, he made just under 400fwhp on his TT but had no powerband and then swapped to a .64 housing and gave him a much larger powerband and not needing to keep the revs really high.

As for the custom setup, the little odds and ends will kill you. Been there, done that on my last car. My car was down for an extra week waiting for parts that i didnt know i needed.

You can run a .64 without rods. Most run 22psi on 93 safely every day. The 30r is a big jump from a 2871r. It can make 400whp easy and with a good tune on a stand alone can push 500whp on race gas. If you go with a gt30XX turbo, you really should swap to a T3 housing since they flow better and the .63 is a little bigger than a .64 T25 housing.

We have crap 91 here in AZ. I wonder if I could still use most of the pieces in the del rio kit with a gt30xx turbo.

They use a T25 manifold and you can get both a gt3071r and 3076r with a T25 housing but i wouldnt use it if i didnt have to. Have you looked into a Pagparts kit yet? 225TT was talking with Arnold there and got a price for a 3076r kit with a HKS .76 turbine housing with sw and everything. think it was around $5k for everything bolt on.

Does that include the FMIC or is that just the turbo setup?
