Default Tune-up

Just received my order from ecs, only took a couple of days. I got a new oil filter, oil, magnetic drain plug, thermostat, new plugs and coil packs and a new oil dipstick tube(in case mine breaks during thermostat install). In what order do you peeps think I should install these? Also do you think I should wait till after xmas cause i'm also getting new boost hoses? Should I wait to do it all at once?

I'd probably wait and do it all at once. You'll need to get in there by pulling covers and such, so why do it twice. Maybe work from the bottom up. Drain plug, filter, thermostat, dipstick, plugs, coils, hoses.

do most people take off the alternator and/or the intake manifold and dip stick tube to do a thermostat?

can it be done (without being a pain) without taking those things off?

removing the intake manifold is pretty much "a have to" to get at the stat....i would wait till you do the boost hoses to do everything...why do the work all over

In the install that i've seen you didnt have to take off the manifold. I guess I will take it off anyways cause i think there are some boost hoses that go through there.

you dont have to remove the alternator or the intake manifold. buy a universal 10 mm or swivel 10mm (smae thing but people call them by different names) and a long extension.

If I take the manifold off to replace the boost hoses, should I do anything to the manifold itself like clean it or put in a spacer?
