Default TT vs. R32

Hello, first off, I'm not quite an Audi TT owner, but will be in the market for 1 in the near future.

In my search for a new vehicle, the VW R32 had my attention. I drove a friend's GTI on a few occasions and was impressed, but seeing the GTI with a 3.2L V6 and AWD with the DSG sounded incredible... Only problem, the car is pretty ugly :/

It was then that I realized the R32 was borrowing some technology from the TT. Looking into the new TT, the car just sounds absolutely amazing. Which brings up my question, how does the TT and R32 compare in performance?

Thank you very much for any input

I personally think the rarity of an R32 is that of itself. The R32 is only made so frequently/quantity. Although I love the TT, i think the R32 turns heads more...at least to those of the DUB/AUDI world...

First of all the .:R is not ugly. Second if you like the features of the .:R and think it is ugly but like the looks of the TT then go for the 3.2 AWD TT with DSG...otherwise as far as performance comparisons you will hear all sorts of opinions but in reality they are so close all you will ever really get are opinions.

1st, I apologize for the duplicates, I have no idea how that happened

2nd, the R32 is an attractive car, very rare, and to those who know what it is, will really grab their attention, however hatchbacks are not for me

I'm just curious as to how the 2 compare in performance (yes, I was referring to the 3.2 TT) and how much of a difference the magnetic ride system makes.

So you are talking the NEW R32 and the NEW TT, not the 2004 R32 and the MK1 TT?

Both will be basically the same. The TT is made for people that want the upscale interior and comfort items and the R32 is made for the boyracer (not stating thats bad, since i basically am one).

Performance will be roughly = since the power will be the same, only real diff is the R32 has a stiffer spring rate
Looks - R32 = nicer GTI, TT= unique styling

I worked at the DUB dealer for a little over a year recently, and we got one of the new R's....I had the luxury of test driving it for a while...boy was it a sweet ride.
