Default TT Stuff is great in my opinion

About a month ago I ordered the Engine cover hardware kit and Oil/Water cap covers from TTstuff.com

As I am located at an overseas APO address, I understand there are certain delays associated with that. At around 2 weeks after my purchase, I notified them about the delay by email and got an email response within 24 hours notifying me to give it another week for shipping as it can be held up in route to APOs. At three weeks, I notified them again and they were right on top of it. Once again, within 24 hours I had a response by email and they were researching it with USPS.
Just no I received this email:

ORIGINAL:
TTstuff.com customer service

Hi Chris,

USPS obviously can not locate the package so we are going to send them
again
to you. We are also going to refund all of your shipping charges. A
replacement set of the 42 Draft Designs - Audi TT Engine Hardware Kit -
225 - Dimples will go out tomorrow, USPS Priority of course. We are
backordered on the Forge-Audi TT Billet Oil & Water Cap Covers -
Polished,
but when they arrive they will ship out to you as well. Again no charge
for
any shipping. We have also issued you a 10% of coupon code good for
your
next purchase. You coupon code is[censored] and should be entered
right
online during checkout to receive your discount. Although we have no
control
over USPS we would like to apologize for the delay. We have had a
couple of
problems with USPS and APO addresses, but we are determined to continue
the
service available!

We do appreciate your business.

Thank you again,

Allen

TT Stuff - Sales
I don't know if the forum pressure has changed their ways or what but I have had nothing but good experiences thus far. I've gotten numerous things, with timely delivery (or refunded shipping), and courteous and prompt customer service support.

** They're also one of only a few places that will ship to an APO. lol

Sorry, but a good company you wouldnt need to send emails saying "where's my stuff?" I have seen people get a shipping numbers and have it not actually get shipped until days later.I like ordering things and have it here when it should be, not having to check on it every other day.

Well when it comes to shipping to APO addresses, it becomes a little trickier. there's no real way to track the package once its left the shipper. \
As for shipping numbers, My last purchase at TTstuff... I got the shipping number but when I'd look on the USPS site, it'd say "waiting for USPS to pick up from shipper"
It said that well past the time when I received my parts in the mail. USPS was reflecting that the parts never left the warehouse when they had actually made it all the way to Korea.I would consider that a USPS issue and not a TTstuff issue. IMO

Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of FedEx, UPS, or DHL. but the fact that I got a quick response, reimbursement of shipping costs, and rectification of the problem in a timely manner... tells me that at least they plan on fixing any mistake made.

I've had other companies not even answer emails, or refuse to do anything about it as they claimed it was of no fault of their own.

I think that's excellent customer service actually. Businesses that rely on shippers have no control over their product once it leaves their hands. I think this is an excellent example of a company showing their customer that their business is appreciated in a tangible manner... $$$.

Not from TTStuff, but fairly related....

Ordered new downpipe from 42DD almost 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear anything about it being shipped out. The info I received says the only thing that has happened was my order was received on May 13th. I thought I remembered reading about another guy who had delays from them because the piece wasn't in stock and they had to make it, but it'd be nice to know something, been trying to get ahold of them too.

Yea... that happens when the store online ships straight from the manufacturer. Is the online store not responding at all or did you actually order it from 42DraftDesigns?

The store is limited to what they can really do to help you out once the order has been placed and the manufacturer has received the order. It's between the shipper and the shipping company from there. If you're lucky, the online store will process a second order and work out the details with the shipper after the fact; to prevent you (the buyer) from having to wait for them to hash out the details.

THey are all hand built. They take a little bit of time to make when they get so many orders.

That's great how they are taking care of you!
Now, if only they offered additional shipping methods besides the USPS!
Sorry but, a week and a half for me to get my kmac kit from a company that's located about 3 hours north of me is just silly.
Granted it wasn't their fault, it was the post office. Which is why an option for additional shipping methods for expedited shipping would be wonderful!
Just my 2ยข !

Wow... that's a long time to get an order. I hope my Half-KMAC kit doesn't take that long to arrive.

Wow... okay, I can see where you guys would get frustrated then. I guess a long time.... is relative. I wish I could get parts in a week and a half. lol But yea, I guess that is the difference since Im overseas. I think the only place I've gotten parts that fast was Steve from modshack. I specifically requested USPS express shipping from steve, and had my parts within one week.

But on average, it takes roughly.... 2-5 weeks for me to get parts over here. No matter where I order from.
