Just considering a family member's 2001 TT with 71k miles. Very loud tire noise could be wheel bearings, has had the car maintained at the dealership, they insist that it was unique to a cupping issue on the 2001 . Has anyone heard the same claim? I'd like to reslove this before I agree to purchase.

That could sound a little like loud tires would.

Jack up each tire and see if there is any play by wobbling the wheel around. Maybe use jack stands, I'd hate to hear you pulled the car off a jack, and only your hand or something....

When i did the clutch i kicked and pulled the fvck out of the transmission it was scary! i chained it to the jack and pulled and pulled and ripped to get it looses lol then aligned it got the shaft throught the clutch and kicked while holding on the side panel i was completly off the ground kicking it into place lol
