Barrow the A4 or rent the truck at Lowes. And with a coupe, you could fit the 2x4's with them sticking out the back a tiny bit
we're trading the A4 for a BMW x3. so it wont be a problem.

Just trying to be different.

a hitch mounted rack will only haul a bike..

I want a set of roof racks that I could purchase other carrying accessories fro. I dont just want to carry a bike. maybe I'll carry skiis, a snowboard, surfboard, kayak, etc.

if it were skis and a snowboard i'd imagine itd be cold enough to not out the top down though.

indeed. I just meant that they make platforms essentially that fold up for hitch mounted carriers, like 2x4 feet. you could use the hoops for the front of a set up like that instead of using them as the back, that is have what your hauling over the trunk and at an angle as opposed to over your head on the level

All I want to say is that firstly, I love the look of your wheels and how they show off your neatly painted red calipers. After that, I kind of feel like you are trying to turn your performance car into a "mom car," equipped with the latest in roof rack technology for the out-and-about housewife. Next mod should be to the suspension to let you go over curbs lol nah I'm just giving you a hard time. If you want a roof rack, by all means make a roof rack because it's your car and each person needs to make their car the most fitting for their situation and useful for their own needs haha imagination is good!

I dont want it for a ton of use. It would be like, hey I need to run to lowes and pick up 4 10' 2x4s. Or hey I need to transport a ladder.

If I bought a coupe I would still have to spend a gazillion dollars on the oem rack.
