Does any one know what the differance is between the 1.8 180hp and the 225hp motors 2000-2006?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say... 45 Hp.

 

225hp model
2 intercoolors
9.0:1 compression ratio
K04 Turbocharger
Prescence of a diverter valve

180hp
1 side mount intercooler
9.5:1 compression ratio
K03 Turbocharger
No diverter valve

Those are the big differences.

Yeah I hear the 180's don't have a wastegate either...

 

my TT is missing a radiator... that was the first sign of it being a 180 vs a 225.

Of course it's missing a radiator. The 180 is air cooled like the old beetle. I think it shares the engine from the old beetle actually, but I'm not sure. [:@]
