I heard this story from my friend. The person has a MKII TT which has a defected wheel~
He was cruising around 30mph on a local street and the wheel broke itself... it would be scary if he is on the highway...

Where the wheel broke off it does look smooth as though it has been cut.
But look at the damage to the rotor, wheel fender, lower side skirt, and inside the wheel itself.
Someone should tell those Germans to stop having a liquid lunch! [8D]

 

Wow. Another reason to stay away from the Mk II.
