Ok, I have a 2000 TT with the stock KO3 turbo I would like to install a KO4 turbo, I want to kown what I would need to do the install. I also have a Giac solder-in chip that was installed about 5 years ago with the first owner of the car, the car runs about 17lbs of boost, would I also need a software upgrade or is what I got go enought?

ko4-001 is a direct install. It is smaller than the ko4 in the 225 and is only good for about another 15-20 over a ko3. It will however hold boost longer than a ko3. You can leave your chip in place, but a upgrade wont cost to much.

for a ko4-2x from a 225 is not a bolt on. you have to get a new manifold along with other parts. go to www.pro-imports.com. they have full kits available there. good for abouth ~40hp

 

Thanks, also with the KO4-2x would I need to change my software or is it fine to use? What software file from Giac would you recomend?

 

you will need 225 injectors or some 380cc and sw written for it. Just ask the closest dealer what they can get for you.

 

Or just go Big Turbo!

 

for about the same cost as a ko4-2x, you can get a t3s60 or 50trim setup and get real power.
