Thank you for the clarification, however I do have a question. You mention "class members." Does the settlement encompass only those who were part of the original suite, or will it apply to all qualified TT owners?

I have an 01 TT with a bad cluster I bought the car used and I have not had it at the dealership so they can "diagnose" the cluster for me. It sounds like I'm screwed if I understand the wording correctly.

The class is described in detail in the notice, which you will either receive in the mail or you can download at at www.instrumentclustersettlement.com. Basically the class consists of all current and prior owners of 2000 - 2004, and certain 2005 (up to a certain VIN) model year TTs.

You can make a claim under section C(2) of the claim form (available at www.instrumentclustersettlement.com) if you can certify that you had a mechanic look at it within the relevant time period. Also, since you bought it used, you may want to ask the previous owner whether they had it looked at, and if so, get that info. If you have questions, you can always call us, but be patient, because we are heading into trial.

I bought my 2001 Quattro TT used, and it is having gas gauge failure. Am I able to have a dealer fix it for free? I saw the condition is within 6 years from the first service date...
