TT Good as a Daily Driver?
#11
get an old accord or civic for your trips to work save the TT for weekends.
the TT can be a good daily driver and mine has been for the most part reliable considering its an 8 year old car but maintenance is expensive on these cars. you are better off putting miles on an old reliable honda that can be fixed somewhat cheaply and easily.
i should add that though i and some others use our cars as daily drivers i for one have a 20 mile round trip to work and back. if i had to drive as far as you do i would have bought a beater for the task long ago.

Oh man, just do it. I bought mine a few months ago and have put about 6,000 on it so far driving it all over the southeast. Just replace high failure items and listen to the car when it complains. I have about 2,000 into it so far, but 1,000 of that was tires and wheels, 500 was a down pipe, so really 500 in maintenance. Now it needs a thermostat, but luckily it's sticking open, not closed so the car runs cool when it's cold outside. I love the car and so far has been very reliable. I have owned plenty of high hp, high mileage cars that have never stranded me because I replace things before they fail.
