Default TT Brake Pad and Wear Sensor

I am new to the forum and I have a question on replacement pad and wear sensor:

My 2002 TT Roadster is equipped with the brake pad wear sensor. I wonder do I have to buy replacement pad with the wear sensor or I can actually R&R the existing wear sensor to the new pad?

I ask becaise I want to buy the PBR ceramic pad but it does not seem they are with wear sensor option!

not all pads have the sensor nor is it required its basically there to inform you of change coming up, you could easily fit the sensor bu drilling a hole in the metal on the pad ( if you can get the sensor out of the old pad without damage )

Just do a quick visual inspection of your pads when you rotate your tires. I look at mine when I am washing the wheels. The wear sensor is just there to make the idiot light on the dash go on. It's more for the average driver out there who doesn't fix anything in their car until it breaks rather than doing good maintenance.

I remove my wheels ever 3 month for cleaning and visually check the pads ( no sensors on my pads )

Thx a lot. Have anyone tried the PBR Ultimate Ceramic Brake Pad?

Are they definitely better than the OEM Audi pad?
