Default tow the TT with the uhaul towing equipment cross country?

Anyone here every tow their TT cross country using the uhaul's car towing equipment? uhaul has 2 type of tow equipment. the first one is the whole car on the cart, where the second one has only the front wheel lifted up on a cart. I have 01 TT QTR so what do you think is the best tow equipment? I am going from DC area to Seattle WA.

NEVER tow an AWD car, always have all wheels off the road. So go with the first one you spoke about, where the whole car is on a cart.

This is true...a friend of mine towed his brand new 07 Nissan Frontier when he moved, and it was only like 150 miles...and it completey destroyed his transmission.

ok..so the first one *should* work. I guess I should pull the fuse out for the haldex unit too? then the car should behave like a FWD?

Seriously?!?!

Use the option where the whole car is off the ground and on a cart and you're fine. Whether the car is sitting still on a towing trailer or on the ground, it doesn't know the difference!!

Use this, and nothing else:

DO NOT use the tow dolly

I just posted a similar question. I'm moving to Cali., from MD and am wondering if there are particular carriers or train to transport mine.

Do you guys think it would be to much wear and tear to drive?

I drove my baby from Seattle to Dallas... she did great - had to replace my tires when I got here though.
