Default timing belt 225 diy

I've been trying to look for it, but can't find it. Can someone point me to the 225 diy for the timing belt?

I'm getting ready to do it here soon when I get some more time.

I notice that you have to use some kind of engine brace to suspend the engine when you're doing this. Where can I get one?

Thanks!

Anyone know how much it would cost to get the belt replaced in a shop? I'm around 48k miles, so I'll probably get it done sometime soonish and I don't really have tools to do it myself.

this is a very very tough job...i';m not trying to discourage you but i've done everything to my car you see listed in my sig and i would rate this tougher than the clutch. just because if your not at TDC your engine is gonna be toast. I;ve yet to do this myself but i do know whats involved...in 40k more miles i will be doing this (damn that means i;ll have 140k on the car..its ok though the head/valve train has only 10k on it now.)

with all tools and parts available and MURPHY is not around to fudge things up, and if you are mechanically inclined, how long does it ttake to do a tb?

I've done TT timing belts twice now, so I'm getting fairly efficient at it, it takes me 6-7 hours timing belt, and about 2 for the thermostat and housing (if you're going that route).

As for the engine brace thing, its not required, just block the engine on the edge of the oil pan, the engine stays stationary, and you can raise/lower the car around it. (and you will need to raise and lower)
