Time for electric radiator fan to turn off
I've noticed on my 2003 TT roadster that if I switch on the ignition (not turning engine over) and then turn back off that the electric radiator fan (or something near the front by the radiator) kicks on for about 4-5 minutes.
Is this a normal condition. I haven't had any kind of battery issue at all, and it's not like I go clicking on the accessories repeatedly throughout each day. But I would have expected this to stay off unless the enginer had just run, and needed a cool down.
I just spent a boat load on having the belt, water pump, thermostat, and some vaccuum hoses replaced. The car is still new to me, so I figure that I just haven't noticed the fan's normal operation yet.... But I got a new alpine deck/speakers, and have been playing with it in the garage! ;-)))
