So i just got off work and got in my car, put it in reverse and i heard a loud siren/drilling sound commin from my engine in replace of the wining of my turbo. I gave it some gas and it really got loud and i had no pressure or feel of any power in my car. Judging by other posts ive read, looks like the turbo is shot. Just postin this to get direct confirmation. And if so.... any good sites to order a new/better one??

 

First thing you need to do is get a boost gauge to see if your not just in limp. If your not, the next thing is totake off the intake and check the wheels for damage or play. If there is damges or the shaft wiggles, you need to change it. If you have a 180, i have a spare used turbo i can sell you for pretty cheap, let me know

 

Ive been in limp before and this feels and sounds totally different. Like the noise that sounds like its comin from my turbo literally sounds like a quite siren, that if any louder could take the place of a firetrucks. I have never heard of someone bein in limp and having this sound, unless im mistaken

 

That sounds like symptoms of blown K03 that I've seen happen in S4's...it starts to sound like a siren/supercharger.

 

you probably have bent of broken blades on the compressor then
