Good Thing you did because its actually the platic impeller and tensioner that breaks. If it wasn't for these two weak links the belts would actually last almost forever which would be great because the belt and related components took forever to replace and was quite the hassle. If only someone made an aftermarket upgrade for the impeller we'd be set

Yeah I got mine done at 59 and change. I'm not sure what kind of parts they used...

Yeah it doesn't look good, but what I have is a BRAND NEW plastic impeller...
Think I'll go harass the shop that did it! I need to know exactly what parts put in my baby.

I was fortunate when i did mine, there was a crack thru most of it, but the impeller was still in one piece. Much longer and I bet it would have come apart.

Thats why I love working on cars, I know what I put in it, and I know what I took out of her, hell I even go in and watch my mech work on it just to make sure, screw the whole insurance thingy....
