stock are internal. Internal are easier to install and quiter to run. externals are nicer for much larger turbos. you mind posting the links to the turbos you have found?

RE: Tcarbon FMIC vs Forge Motorsport FMIC 180 HP Quattro
yea im most likely gonna get the 575 and then save up for the kit for pag parts
rebuilt is just as good though.. (i know im gonna get punched) lol 389... hmm sounds so tempting though.
but back to the original topic.... I am still waiting on TCarbon to give me the A ok to go ahead and purchase the item. they sd that if we purchase the FMIC for the180 TT we may have to wait a little bit but some of the ones that have already been ordered have gone out in the mail are currently being installed.
FYI Tcarbon also advised me that they have been following this post very closely and are very pleased with our discussion but they cannot post a reply cuz they non members

Looks like someone finally listened on here/vortex and got the tunerstop fmic w/ large intercooler for $400. Will fit all 180's
cecilcohen"I just finished doing a FMIC install. I ended up using the Tuner-stop.com kit with the larger intercooler. 1 hr to take bumper off and old intercooler and piping. Took 3 hours to install and fabricate 3 brackets, and 1more hour to install it all back together.
I had to cut 2 pipes that come with the kit. Other than that, it fit fine."
