Default Success!!!!!!

I finally fixed my car after many hours and many long research nights and phone calls. And yes after all the money I did put into it it was only a hundred dollar part...So in the end it was the crank position sensor aka engine rpm sensor. I pulled it out and it was covered in dirt??? prolly just the dirt from the engine outside. What a pain. I broke one of the two plastic air lines but no biggie, duct tape will work for now i found out. The new one went in nicely with no issues and she started right up. Finally at ten last night the last bolt went into the car. I fired it up and went for a long drive with no issues. The tach which has always seemed glitchy had no issues. Finally shes on the road...To top the story off I was driving down one of my back roads and I saw a Black TT coupe sitting on the side of the road with no one in sight...I was thinking final destination or something...

Tomorrow I am using my 250 gift certificate to have it fully detailed and will post pics.

congrats on getting it running, tracking down issues is a PIA, but very satisfying to resolve...

nice. good to have a working car. is that sensor not the most pita thing to replace for how simple a part it is? One stupid screw holding it in, and it takes forever to replace it!

dont worry too much about the plastic air lines, those are for the secondary air. worst case, you'll get a incorrect flow code, but its not like you'll be pullin dirt into the engine.
