Question Speedo Sensor Died-How do I replace it?

Hi Everyone,

While driving to work today I noticed my speedometer acting a little erratic jumping up and down from 19mph to 80mph and I think I was going 60 at the time. Then it suddenly quit altogether and a yellow warning light popped up that said SENSOR. I don't think it is my cluster so there must be a speed sensor somewhere that went out. I did wash the car yesterday and cleaned the engine with Simple Green and hosed it off with Water afterwards.
Now I did cover items like the MAF and other electronics with plastic but I guess it is possible that some water might have gotten into that speed sensor and shortened it out.

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is and How much it is to replace?
I hate to take it to the Stealership if it is something I can do myself for a lot less.

Thanks for any help and advice!

It's the vss near/in the trans. It is NOT any of the vss's on the brakes. Those are for traction control and abs. The vss in the trans controls the spedo. It's easy as an 02 sensor... one bolt and wire connector, but a bit hard to get at.
