To bmwtoaudi:

I have a older 328ic and am considering wither another 3 series or one of these audi TT 225hp. Just wondering if you think your TT is more fun and as reliable as a bmw? Anything to look out for when shopping for a used TT?

Thanks,
Brian

I've owned 4 bmw's

e30 325i
e30 m3
e36 325ix
e38 740i

Currently i'm looking actively at the e65 745Li

Just to give you a back ground on my taste with BMW. - I absolutely love them. - They imo are hands down more reliable than my Audi. - My Audi has had more problems than all 4 combined. - No joke.

I perfer them personally to Mercedes Benz as well. - I currently have a 2002 C240 (The better half drives it) - Its a good car for her, reliable - classy and professional. - However its not aggressive or fast at all. - Its a 6speed and its slow. - VERY slow.

Now I do love my Audi as much as my other cars, but based on the purchase of my TT and the work it has required, I will continue to drive this car because I love the styling. - But I will NEVER buy another Audi again. - But that comes mostly down to the fact that I think our local dealership has horrible customer service. - I'd pay NOT to go there.

Anyways.

Getting to the point, BMW is a better car.

I know i'm going to get flamed for this, but Audi is not the same class of car overall as a Mercedes or BMW. - It is below them.

Doesn't mean its a bad car, but its most definately not a BMW. - I was looking at z4's a month or so ago and the ride was tramediously smoother and softer than the TT, mind you it was a 2.5i so it wasn't as fast. - But it did have an over all better feel to it.

Love you guys.
