So tonight i went out to a meet near downtown and i realy wanted to see what my car can do before i start modding it.
I raced my friend 2006 EVO MR, my other friends Mazda speed 3(turbo edition), and my friends 350z....
All of these cars are modified as follows:

350z=Full exhaust(Headers back, with no cats) Injen CAI, MREV2 5/16 SPACER

06 EVO MR= FULL EXHAUST(DOWN PIPE BACK) CAI, CHIPPED,BOOST CONTROLER WITH BOOST SET HIGH, STOCK TURBO

07 MAZDASPEED3 TURBO ED.=FULL EXHAUST(MANIFOLD BACK) CAI, STAGE 3+ CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL, BOOST SET ON MAX, STOCK TURBO


The EVO MR was first, we had two runs, I mainly wanted to race him to see where im at since im just running stock/chip, trust me the race was over before it started ....

first run= 30roll he took me easily, end of story

second run=40roll in 3rd gear i pulled first in front by half a car and it stayed that way until he switched to 4th and it was over by like 3 car links

Mazda speed 3 was next, we had 3 runs...

First run= 30roll in 2nd gear....I pulled him to 3rd and we were dead even going into 4th and he creeped past me[:@]

second run=40roll in 3rd gear....I pulled him easy but when i hit 4th he was boosting i guess cause his **** just started to fly past me...
he beat me by a half a car....

3rd run=30roll in 2nd gear....This time its me, the speed3, and the 350z....We take off and i was pumped so i redlined every gear just about and beat the 350z but the damn speed3 still beat me by a half a car[:@][:@][:@]

350z was next, we had 2 runs....

first run=30roll in second gear....we were dead even until i hit 3rd and redlined about 6800rpms, then 4th the same way and i beat him by about a cars link

second run=40roll in third gear....i completely blew him out of 3rd and by mid-4th gear he was starting to creep on me until i got to redline and shifted to 5th, then it was over, beat him by a full car link this time.

I wasn't bumed out at all at tonights results because i kept up with the two cars that were modified, little to alot by your own standards i guess and here i am a TT225Q with a chip, remember i don't have anything installed besides a cai. I am waiting to put my mods on after next week, so everything is still sitting in my room until i get the turbo upgrade which has officialy shipped today which im now debating i should even put on due to the fact that once i get my 3' downpipe, 3' APR exhaust, Boost controller, Full Samco Turbo Hose kit, installed those guys besides the EVO MR will have hell to pay lol.

don't worry bro, remember you are always a winner because at the end of the night no matter how fast these cars are, you are going home in an audi and they are going home in "something else".

 

what type of tt do you have?

 

shift before redline... like 5500 or so, you start losing boost that high

He keeps it out of this godawful east coast weather+salt. Wise man.

Advice for racing: Shift at 5500, avoid 4th gear. There's about 500 RPMs difference between 4th and 5th gear but 4th doesn't pull for crap. 3rd pulls nicely, I'd just drag out third and go straight to fifth.

I raced a MkV GTI on the highway...it's my proudest kill for the most part. I started with a 60 roll in fourth and he took me. I put it into fifth 60 roll and it was game over for the Dub.

 

hey jojo you live in Htown right? One of my friends just convinced his parents to buy his sister the brand new R32 and we've been driving it around a lot lately. What an F'ing machine. haha that thing is soooo much fun to drive. I've only freeway driven it once, but I think that a chipped 225 could take it because I've followed it in my not chipped 225 and it gained suprisingly little ground on me whenever he floored it. If you ever want to, we should definitely meet up because I'm pretty sure he would want to race you, and you would definitely be a really good match for him. What part of town are you in? Both him and I live inside the "loop".
