Took the TT to a datsun Z car meet on saturday.
There were some beautiful cars there.
Anyone here ever go up against one?

Anyway on the drive home I drove past these two dudes riding on one GSX-R.
Apparently they didn't like being passed, so they pulled up next to me and revved.
Ok... Fine. I'm gonna get smoked, but who am I to say no?

I dropped into third, got on it and heard him downshift and go. I pulled on him to 120, then shut it down.
He pulled up next to me and revved again.
Ok... Same ****, bigger pile. I put 3 carlengths on him by 100.
I guess power to weight is a bitch.

So what's more embarrassing?
2 guys on 1 motorcycle, or a motorcycle losing to a car... twice?

I'm guessing it was probably a 600cc that plus two decent sized guys probably killed it.
2nd run was going through a turn that probably made the passenger on the bike **** himself.

600cc = 98 hp
Dry Weight = 360 lbs
Fuel = @ 5 gallons (about 6.1 lbs per gallon) = 30 lbs
Driving weight = @ 390 lbs
Power to weight = .251 hp per lb

390 lbs plus 2 riders (200lbs each is being nice) = 790 lbs
Power to weight =.124 hp per lb

TT power to weight
3150 lbs 225 hp = .071

My math says he kicked my ***.

we didn't 123 or anything, I just went, and both times by the time he was at my door I heard him down shift and get on it.
So I think the starts were fair enough too.

Why are people in that position (2 dudes, 1 bike) drawing extra attention to themselves? I had to give my buddy a ride to work on my cruiser one time and we took back streets... noone saw us and the reputaion remained in tact!

 

roadtrip from Philadelphia into Harrisburg, PA last week my wife and I saw a bike with the woman driving and the guy hanging on the back..

i'd rather be on a bike with 2 dudes then be hanging on the back while my girl drove. ehhh.. actually maybe not.

 

If anything you beat the rider, the bike will distroy the TT over and over and over. - I dont care if you put a v8 in the tt with a turbo... only then would it give a bike a chance. - I rocked a 911GT on my R6 ...and im talk ROCKED. - My friends dad owns it...we had a few runs. - Gixxers are faster than what my bike was. - So ...You beat the rider. - Not to mention 2 dudes on one bike....its alot harder to handle a bike at those speeds with that amount of acceleration with 2 people. - Quite dumb on the bikers part.

 

any decent bike will be any car anyday... except in rain or snow cause then your an idiot to be on a bike

 

Completely agreed.

Right now your talking about 600cc bikes. - You start getting into the big sport bikes like 1000cc's ... I dont think there is a car on earth with the exception of a veyron that will keep up with them in a straight line. - Now take it to the track its a different story with corners and whatnot... that will then turn into a rider/driver race... but if you have a professional rider on the 1000cc bike... the car wont keep up... even a veyron would have a hard time keeping up with a big sport bike on a track. (Mind you rider/driver)
