silicon turbo inlet hoses
Has anyone replaced their TIP with the silicon hoses? And could you tell a difference? I see that they have a silicon hose that replaces the TIP and the hose right after the intake and its less than the TIP. I was hoping for some reviews before I make my decision. Also has anyone replaced their exhaust manifold for a high flow one and kept the K03/K04 turbo on? Was there a noticable difference there to? Ive heard that replacing the manifold and still using the small turbos wont really make a difference. Thanks all.

there is defenitely a difference between the original part of audi and a part of samco for ex...!
buy it and you will love it in the range. bewtween the rpm of 4500 and 5500 you will see what i mean ;-)

RE: silicon turbo inlet hoses
Could someone tell me which of the hoses is the TIP hose? I am thinking of buying a 2004 TT and at 5500 rpms the rpms sudden drop down.
Someone mentioned that it could be the TIP collapsing. How hard is this hose to be replaced and how much does it cost?

RE: silicon turbo inlet hoses
tip is the part after the maf and connects to the turbo. That sounds like it could be theproblem if it is a 225. The are somewhat a pain to do, but deffinatly doable for those with minimum mech skills. They cost just under $200 from Forge, samco, apr. Check out TTstuff, ecstuning for parts/costs
