I've never been a fan of the regular shift boot... It reminds me of a bag.
That's why when I saw the TT's boot all I could do was smile. It's different, and fun to play with when you're stuck in traffic!

Just bought a 225TT and realized the shifter boot has a tear on it. Does anyone know where i can find one? I've looked everywhere.
junk yards are a great place to find some good parts, plus often they are cheap. It just sucks to find the car you want sometimes.

My thing is they spent so much time and money in the concept with the interior to have a plastic shifter boot. It is different and the concept is great but those I've spoke with all have cracks or tears in theirs. Why not use a material that is more forgiving of the temps and use? It's so annoying! Well, we'll see what I end up with. Any other places you suggest will help. I like the price of sportsimportsltd but the boot is too boring and if I have to get a bag I'd like it to be different ya know...

i have a rubber boot. I dont know if they switched or you are mistaken. If yours is really plastic look into getting a boot off a 2000 tt.

I meant rubber...

So do I need to find a "short" boot? I've found between 8 and 11 inches tall.

I like the one from redline as long as I can get it with the red stiching like the photo of the boot for the S4's.

Mine had a tear in it too within the first year or so but the dealership replaced it since the car was still under warrenty. So if you all still have your warrenty maybe try that. I even had my stereo replaced once under warrenty cuz the paint on the channel buttons were smearing.

bet you could get one for $10-20 from a junk yard. You just might have to get it out of the car though.
