Default Screwed my Shifter Help!!

Whats up on my 00 fwd TT this is the 3rd time my shift got stuck in gear had to rip it out just so I could drive it, It slipped off the ball and the shifter is sideways and does not go into 5th. has this ever happened to anyone else? The first time it happened it was my dads and the dealership charged him like 4 or $500 to fix it, when he had a warranty. The second time we took it to our friends shop and he told us it was some plastic plates that get put into the wrong location and it was like 100 and something. Now it happened again.

Ryans shifter snapped, you maybe able to just buy a short shifter kit and install it. If you have some basic skills and can follow directions its usually a straitforward install.

get a torx screwdriver and remove the **** and boot. See what is broken or doesnt seem to look right. Remember pics are great for others helping you sovle a problem also.
