Roadster Indicator Light for Top

Roadster Indicator Light for Top
Any tips on accessing/replacing switch located in my '01 Roadster headrail that houses the switch on passenger side for the convertible top? Can't seem to open up assembly enough to reach it. Switch is malfunctioning, e.g. dash indicator flashes constantly when the top is in the closed and locked position. Might it be possible to inactivate the indicator light as a Plan B? Thanks.

Not sure if this will help but when i first bought my 02 roadster i had to have the drivers side hinge replaced for the same thing 2 yrs ago. Audi never said anything about an activation switch but now i noticed the passanger side is doing the same thing...I didnt have problems for the 2 yrs having it though.

A long time ago I saw a fix for those latches on the top of windshield. Forgot what or how it was done but you might search that some more.
Had something to do with padding the switch/latch with a piece of metal or something i think.
Here's some discussion/fix on it
