So I'm pretty sure I just got ripped off by someone over on vwvortex. Let's see.... I purchased, or should I say sent the money for a VTDA on the 23rd via paypal. I email the guy on the 25th and 29th and 30th to try to get him to email me back w/ no luck. I spoke toone other person who bought stuff off of him and he apparently has givenhim a tracking number forhis itemthat hepurchased just not me! Any suggestions as to how I should go about handling this situation. I think I should file a complaint w/ paypal but I don't see how this would do much good!?

 

You don't really have any other options. File the complaint.

 

On paypal, is he a verified seller? If so, you can claim this on Paypal's insurance policy. Another way is if you paid for this through Paypal using a Credit Card. If you paid with a credit card, you can contact your credit card company and have it removed citing fraud. If you paid with a Paypal balance you may be out of luck.

 

Paypal only gives you 30 days to file a complaint.

I've always been hesitant to buy stuff off there.....good luck man...

There have been a lot of people scamming people nowadays that's it's resulted in some crazy actions

you have to give the sellerat least 28 days to respond before you can make a complaint to paypal to allow time for delivery then you can lodge a complaint and retrieve your money back which is guaranteed through paypal

 

i would file the complaint because if he doesn't respond, then you get your money back.
