Damn, how exspensive would it be to bore out our 1.8's to a 2.0? Or is that even possible

Cheap way:
Crankshaft : AEG = 92.8mm ,ALH = 95.5mm ==> dont pay more than 250 for either crankshaft
Connecting Rods : SCAT = 144mm/20mm ==> $349US.Tested rods to withstand more power than anyone here is making
Pistons : personal preference = JE ==> $555US for a custom SET based on your stroke and bore.Additional $$ for anything else such as coating etc. Add in money for a shop to bore the cylinders and assemble it also.

Expensive Way:
Crankshaft : Eurospec Forged unit in any stroke you want. ==> $1200US+
Connecting Rods : Pauter/Corillo ==> $700US+/set
Pistons : JE again (see above)

Thats is alot of $$$ for the turbo so I will probably just do the chip, 3 inch downpipe when I can find one and CAI and diverter valve (which is $250 for this car, man!). Im hoping the DP will give me another 10 - 15 whp like on the 1.8 and that should put me at 270 hp and over 300 tq. More than enough for me now. But all in all I really like the new TT and its sutle but effective changes to the body, it looks more aggressive now. I will miss my old TT cuz when I had it, silver WAS the fastest color.

I think the only one out that I saw was Forge and they want $250. I have seen the one you have posted but I thought is was an add on for the other diverter to act as a BOV.? Would I still need this?

Guys, I have a 2008 TT 2.0. This past weekend I got the APR upgrade, put the Forge CAI in but took the cold air part out because there is no space to fit the pipe that points down and I didnt want to suk in water. I also put the Forge DV Spacer for noise and a new Forge DV to handle the 21 PSI the turbo is putting out. I have 3 words 2 say.....HOLY f__in S__T. Fast enuf for me....big diff between now and the stock. I also got the 2 program switching for the cpu so I could go from stock to chipped. All the tires do is spin and I have the PZERO's on, not the Conti's

lol. people always worry about their CAI sucking in water. don't worry!. your whole filter has to be submerged in water to fully hydro lock your engine. but wutever, your car not mine
