Thumbs down resurfacing a head

I bought a used head from a guy over paypal, its very clean but the corners seemed to have dragged on the ground. About 1/5 of a mm of aluminium rubbed above the surface on the valve side. Its very small and its on the edge, however i cant chip it off with a razor blade, and doesnt make the surface perfectly flat and even.

im trying to make this surface perfectly flat without taking apart the head.

Options:
1: barstock rubbed across surface until the metal chips away
2: very fine grit sanding of the surface
3: have the head machined, dont want to spend $$$ or delay my project tho
4: open claim, send head back, get my money back, get another
5: your idea?

I'd get my money back, and find another especially if the seller misrepresented it and said it was "perfect" and it showed up like it did. Keep us posted !

If I open a claim i feel its going to be problematic, he sent me pictures but i couldnt tell if there were marks on the head. he did have it wrapped pretty good. no way shipping could have done it. he can argue that shipping caused it still though, but i do want to get at least some money back.

here are some pics:

there no where near water jackets or valve heads so i feel this could be repaired easily, im not trying to shell out 100s for a machinest, hate to sound cheap but i think this could be scraped off an inexpensive way + these marks will sit out side of the metal head gasket.

he ended up agreeing paying for the resurface, but i still have to pay for the cams to be removed and reinstalled, so in the end it came out fine
