Default Rear Power Windshield Issue

The passenger side of the rear windshield is stuck. The driver's side can move freely but I can't put it up of course because the passenger's side is stuck in the down position. I pulled the panel off the back of the windshield and it looks like the belt that drives the large window "screw" is completed rotted as you can see in the pic. Now how do you expose the top of each side to insert a new belt?

Also, I looked in the small cutout space behind the passenger's seat while the top was up and saw these two connectors. One looks like an antenna cable and the other some type of computer connection. Are these supposed to be connected to something? TIA

Default Rear windshield iisue

Well I cut the old belt off. It looks like there might be enough room to slip the new belt over the top of the gear. More clearance on the passenger's side. We'll see.

Well, this thread is a bit old but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I also have the same problem with my 2001 TT's rear windshield. I was wondering if you were able to get a new belt on there. And did you buy the belt from the dealer?

Regarding the connectors, I believe the antenna port and the db connector are used if you have on-board navigation. I don't have it in my TT so mine looks like your picture.
