Stripes are a neat effect, but I have to agree that the look you got there is similar to the multitude of Mustangs being driven around now...

When I got my car it had a paint job unlike any I've seen before - it looks like they laid the offset Rally Racing stripes and the circle #4 on the hood, doors and smaller one the trunk in vinyl - then sprayed blue metalic flake over it all.

The effect is a very subdued effect with the stripes and numbering only 1 or 2 shades lighter than the dark blue of the car (my guess is that it was originally Morro Blue). The other effect is that it's all slightly raised so a shadow effect helps getting it noticed. But only if you're practically ontop of the car.

Never seen this effect before - but it fits in nicely with my style of stealth... lol

I'm not too into them but if you like them, go for it.

I am not into stripes myself either. I don't consider the photoshop job you have done to be ugly but not to my personal taste.

I decided not to do it.
but i'll keep it as my profile pic because it stands out.
Black with nice rims is enough for me.

Okay - finally got some pics for this.

Here's the paint job I was referring to earlier.

Here's another of the side - they all have a pretty cool raised/embossed look to them... has the Audi rings flanking the hood

One more look at the hood - wanted to put all these in one post - guess the size was too big

My son calls it my Fantastic Four car - working on a cool logo like RacerX's lol

Well, I ended up finding someone who gave me a great deal on two tone stripes and they completed them yesterday afternoon. We had to go with a better quality vinal due to the curves and such but it was well worth it!

That's not too bad a look actually - kinda makes me want to lighten mine up a tad...
