Default Race Modify Me

Okay, I got a 2000 Audi TT (standard FWD). I wanna make it AWD, and get it to where it can make at least low 12's on the quarter mile, anyone have any tips on what I can change, and how much it should cost. We'll say the budget is about 15,000 dollars for now.

First of all you are going to need an AWD conversion kit

Then you are going to need to go on a serious program to further lighten the vehicle.. an AWD TT weighs in at nearly 3000 lbs.. there are some good tips here on how to reduce weight and lower ETs.

if you wanted a "awd" tt then you should of bought one. It will not be that hard to get to your goals and and you dont need to do the conversion. You can either just do all bolt ons and then put on a 30 wet shot of n2o or go with a gt28rs or gt2871r kit and some slicks.

And by the way the fwd is 2910 and the awd is 3200+.

Where you stoned when you wrote this? Why would you want to invest $15k into a 2000 TT FWD?

I can understand you simply buying a 2000 AWD TT....and possibly investing that....but a there is almost no price difference between the 2 stock at this point. At that point you could get this car to do low 12's high 11's ..for around $6000 or less.

I dont think you know much about TT's or have common sense with modding.

If you ever want to make something stop existing, the Milwaukee Sawzall is the tool. Oh, the satisfaction.
This is great advice
So good in fact, I'm adding it to my sig.

here is one of the guys on vortex making his a "awd" gti with parts from a 01ttqc.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothrea...276&page=1

and then you can understand why hpa chargers $14-16k and need 10 weeks to do it in. http://hpamotorsports.com/conversion_AWD.htm
