I had to chime in to all this god race talk. Just for the record: I have ran my car in the 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile approx. 20 times. I have been involved with different types of drag racing for several years.I have racedat least 8350z's, S2000's, raced 2 RX8's (both w/aftermarket turbo kits) in the 1/8th mile. '06 mustang GT in the 1/8th.....etc. And I have never lost toany of those cars. 350z racres are always the closest, but they are playing major catch-up. I bet the 2 RX8 turbo's would have blown by me in a 1/4 mile race (good thing we were racing in the 1/8th)but they were getting no traction and had a best of 9.08 in the 1/8th. I had a best of 8.75 @ 78 that night.
Honestly all the little mods start adding up, but belive it or not....the mod that helped me the most in the 1/4 mile was a gas pedal spacer......go figure???

it should bring the recessed gas pedal even with the brake pedal where it SHOULD be. It just seems dangerous that you could get your foot caught or somethig going from gas to brake in a quick braking situation in it current state.

I just put a rubber grommet on top of the gas pedal stopper. I have read many articles that Audi and VW guys found that the car actually reads 100% throttle when the gas pedal is pressed closer to 80% throw. I tried it, and it definitely pulls harder in the higher gears.
