yea me and my friends dont street race anymore..we were coming home from a meet and a friend in a gti was charged up by a grand am SHO im not sure but somethin that was supercharged and he beat him and the dude got mad and cut him off and made him crash into the barrier rail or whatever you wanna call it and he died on impact and his girlfriend was on life support and her parents took her off it like last week....sad story so we dont street race anysmores...and as for the 350s depends on the package they got and the driver

 

I've grown out of street racing but had many, many races when I was younger and into it. I had about a 90% win ratio because I was really good at knowing how fast other cars were and I tried to not put myself into a loosing race. Everyone here seems to win more than they loose, and for every winner, there is some looser out there. So who are these guys constantly getting beat down? Who are these guys getting their jollies having their azzes handed to them? I don't get it. Proudest win: Mitsu 3000GT TT VR4 drives like a maniac to hunt me down for a stop light drag race. To my suprise, I wasable to take him down with my near stock '89 Mustang GT. Mostly due to my driving and ability to cut a good traffic light, but he must have been embarrased.

 

Proudest win: Itook a mustang GT (still had the invoice in the window)from a dig in a 5 speed 95 Maxima (1/8 mile).

 

That shows how important good driving is. You beata car that is over a second faster than you in0-60 and 1/4 mile. Pretty funny.

 

Exactly. He was a brand new kid that had obviously just bought the car. (that day most likely). This was back in 2001-2002 time frame. Its been a while as my brother totalled my Maxima shortly after I bought the TT. I remember laughing because people would always try to race me when I drove it. Little did they know, I had no modifications done to he car, but the cat and muffler were rusted out fom a previous "off-road snow" adventure I had the previous winter. Of course the huge holes in the cat and muffler made my exhaust sound ridiculously loud, but truth be told... I just didnt have the money to fix it yet. -shrugs- that thing sounded like a chopper coming down the road... -sings- "ooooohh pece of shitcarr"

 

Just for $hits I gave in to a kid in a new Toyota (not sure what model). 1st 2nd and 3rd he was mine.I could hear he had something more than stock going on under the hood. He lit the tires in each gear. Pretty impressive. He pulled away after 3rd. I wasn't going to push it. Damn that was fun. Not my style but fun none the less.Now I have the bug to throw away some money and see what else I can get out of it. (On a track, of course)
I had the oportunity to take it out on Virginia International Raceway about 2 years ago. A road course is where these come alive. They love cornering! I'm sure you all know that. Cheers!
