Default A question you may not like

hey guys... the thought of selling the TT has now crossed my mind. Im in need of a more practical car... heres what should be taken into consideration.

2002 180 quattro
61xxx miles
maintanence always done when needed.
car is in perfect working condition, no flaws. Body looks new
Aftermarket (I know it doesnt add much value but is there)
20% tint
hyperboost DV
O.CT chip 93'
brand new wheels and tires (the flik justices)
Sound system - 2 10' kickers w/ 400.1amp
VTDA intake

Do you guys think i could get 17 or 18k for it?
I also have all stock parts so i could return it to stock and sell goodies...

shed some light please.

edit: retail is 18,180...

Your looking more at $14-15k for the car and probably $12k for a trade in. Honestly your will probably get more or the same amount if you take off the wheels, intake, and sound system. Shoot, sell that and trade it in and save yourself the trouble. You can get a simular year and milage A4 for what you should get asa trade in and money made from selling those parts. Shoot, even sell the dv if you have the stock one laying around and still funtions.

must be a good guess, just did KBB and my estamates are right in the middle of the excelnent and fair prices. I have seen used 2000 S4's go for about $15k with just over 100k on them. That same $15k would get you a '02-03 A4 with about 60-70k miles on it. Or you can always get a nice B5 A4 and with the $3-5k you save, make it almost new and add some power into it.

Edit, you're really going to need to check insureance out, i keep reading in the A4 section that the cost to insure a S4 is outragous.

remember maintenance prices on S4's are also a bigger bitch than a TT.

I've seen decent ones for less (with less miles too) from back when I was looking into one. Keep in mind 100k is right around when those K03's blow up in that engine. Also keep in mind it's not as reliable as the 1.8T and not as cheap to mod before you get one.
