quattro alignment settings
Getting tires for my new (to me) 2001 180 quattro. Theinside shoulders of the old tires are gone (apparently a common problem from reading other posts) and I've got an alignment scheduled at a local shop ($79). What sorts of adjustments are there on this car? I imagine the front is limited to the usual strut toe, but what about the rear? How much can be changed? The local shop couldn't tell me over the phone until he sees the car.

RE: quattro alignment settings
On a non-lowered car there is ample adjustment in the rear arms (assuming nothing bent from and accident) to get the rear toe and camber into spec. There is generally enough adjustment in the fronts unless you are radically lowered.
If you have lowered your car with coilovers or aftermarket springs then you will need a Kmac kit or adustable arms (or combination) to get the rear back into spec.

Thanks for the complete specs; I'll definitely print it out & take it with me.
Still curious about camber adjustments front & rear; is it donevia shims, threaded rods, or what?

RE: quattro alignment settings
its all a question of measurements and undoing bolts to reset the wheels and sometimes they use shims ( front wheels need a kit ) if you want to alter them because in most cases they are not adjustable
