Default Purchase potential?

Hi guys,
Ive been lurking around in the shadows here for a little while now. Ive also been looking around at different TT models / years etc and ive recently found a TT in my area that i believe to be a great deal but wanted to ask your guys opinions. The TT in question is a 2002 Roadster Quattro 180hp with 89k on it and the seller is asking for $4,000 obo. Ive seen and run the car and it seems to be in great condition. To me this seems like a great deal for this car. What do you guys think? Dont be afraid to shoot me down either, just in case its not as good a deal as i think.
Thanks in advance!

Not much to offer but if the seller can't prove the timing belt has been changed then it will need to be changed. A dealer can do it for about $700.00 to $800.00.

A broken timing belt will cause about $5000.00 in damages.

Check that the rear window on the convertible top is firmly attached and has not re-glued to the top. If it leaks it will destroy the CCM pcb which is located directly under the rear window

A new top is about $1600.00. (I know I just had one installed)

Have the car checked out by someone who knows Audi TTs.

Good luck
