Idle adjustment can be set with vag-com. Don't know what block though, these are all things I find when I'm bored, and just scrolling thru every system I can. I should probably start making notes.

well lets see if we can find it...the reason i ask is it will get rid of some gear noise i have at idle. like maybe 900-1000 rpms would be perfect

RE: Problems starting after gas fillup
My ex gf had this problem with her Nissan Altima, she would put too much fuel in, after it clicks, she would keep putting fuel in, and then she would have issues. She took it in, and after many hours and a couple trips back and forth, they figured it was from overfilling. So when the pump clicks off, she hangs it up, and has never had a problem since. Maybe it's a foreign thing?

RE: Problems starting after gas fillup
Sounds like there is a problem with getting the fuel all the way to the car on the 1st crank. Sounds like after a few cranks the proper amount of fuel makes its way into the motor and stopping it from stalling.
When was the last time you serviced your fuel filter ? 30$ 1/2hr of work tops.
Try running a bottle of injector system treatment(try getting one that specifically designed to burn water out of the tank) moisture in the lines/tank will definetly stall out the car and freeze in the lines as well. (just an idea)
Next time you go in and have the car on a hoist, just do a little quick check of the underbody to make sure all your fuel lines are ok. (ie no nast rust spot) -- big problem here on older cars cuz of salt overkill-- may not apply to you.

sounds like you need to clean the crap out of your fuel system...If i was you id drive it empty go fill it with SHELL 93octane and add fuel injector cleaner do this for the next 3-5 fill ups and see what happens..If that does not work you might have a super dirt fuel filter and will need to replace it if that still doesnt work id take the injectors off and clean them real good...

I use to work at a Audi dealer, the most comman problem for this is a bad evap vent valve, had this problem on the wife's 99 A6 no code. changed the evap valve problem gone. If you need I can look up the part number when I get home. at the Dealer the valve should be around $80-90 plus 2 clamps see link for a location picture audiworld
