Default Potential overheating problem?

This is a stupid question but I know next to nothing about cars, except that I love my 03 tt convertible. When stopped in traffic, and its hot out, the temp gauge needle moves one notch over to the right. Should I be worried about overheating?

Yes you should, check out two things first it if you have a black top coolant sensor you may want to switch it out for a green top one, found at ecstuning or various other places, if you have a green top one already then check out your thermostat along with a coolant flush would probably help you out.
