Posted before - Xenon Low Beam Issue
I posted last year about this issue with no replies, as my car just failed its inspection I am posting again in the hope that someone has some insight into this issue.
My drivers side Xenon has an intermittent problem; I have to keep turning the lights on and off repeatedly to try and get it to work, once it works then for the rest of the day it will be fine but after which I have to mess around again.
Most days I can't get it to work like today! The day of my inspection. Its not the bulb as when I switch the bulbs they both work great in the passenger side.
Please help only got today and tomorrow before my tags expire and I need my car for work.

Replacing the ballast, would be my suggestion.
If the bulb is good then the ballast would be my guess.
Im sure you have checked the connecting wires and all, but depending on the year the ballast would be located directly underneath the headlight housing.
What year TT?

RE: Posted before - Xenon Low Beam Issue
I just fixed my low beam problem. To be honest I'm not sure what fixed it. I went at the project with the ignitor switch in mind. I needed a 4" handled 20mm torx ($5 at Ace Hardware) to remove the lower mirrored sectioncause the torx bolts were set in channels. That was to get at the torx screws that held the black box of the ignitor switch in place. I also had to removesection that holds thelow beam bulb which had security torx ($10 Ebay) to get the black box out.
I want to say it was the ignitor switch but keep thinking that maybe it was just the bulb.I was doing some partying while working and lost track of which ignitor switch was the one I was replacing and which was the original low beam fixture/bulb.
It really is one of those things you need to get all the parts/tools first and figure out as you go along. Its a bitch that you have to remove the front of the car just to start troubleshooting but if you have done it before it only takes 10 minutes.
