Anybody know what's going on with phatnoise? Their website's been down for weeks..are they even around? Having that said, anyone with phatbox experience recommend it over the ipod link? I've got a nano, and have heard nano links are garbage trying to work with the stock Bose..

 

To me answer to a question in the topic is just so easy: Phatbox. Perhaps, it's because I just sold my W8 Passat that had Phatbox in it (still have the unit with VW adaptor). Voice tags are kinda tricky to setup to be understandable but they are awesome. I bought the Phatbox $120 brand new, if you can find good deal for Audi I'd totally take it (I'd buy it for my new 2008 TT if Phatbox were compatible, which it's not, I just hate that I have to go for iPod and stupid, no, horrible and evil iTunes...). BTW, Phatbox sounded better in Passat then regular CD and I'm sure it will sound better then iPod. Phatnoise was the best concept for in-car MP3 entertainment that wasn't properly marketed (probably due to lack of sufficient funds), never evolved to 2nd generation and was killed execution style by Apple.

 

plus, you can mod a phatbox to hold something like 120GB. IDK, but IDT iPeed holds that much, yet.

 

The new 160GB iPod Classic... It looks nice, but I don't think I know 40,000 songs, lol.
