Does anyone know what hp gains you see from an intake with a chip?

Dont really know the exact numbers on the chip depends on which one you get, the intake dont know numbers either, but trust me you will be pleased, very pleased.

 

I have the chip and exhaust already, so I've felt the gains over stock...WOW.... just it has always seems like the turbo and engine weren't getting enough air from the stock intake...so hopefully this cold air ...will give me some serious gains....well to the point I notice....i'd just love to see this new clutch and intake get me down to a 6.0 (zero - 60) ..maybe even a 5.9 Right now im running about a 6.3/4


who knows...I do know that my clutch as been slipping since I bought it, I thought it was turbo lag. ....anyways after I get these installed and worked out ...im going to chase myself down a K04 turbo kit...or something a little better.

I've heard however that the K04 turbo has a bit of lag compared to the k03 ...that true?

 

yes anytime you go to a bigger compressor size your gonna have turbo lag but when it hits it hits a hell of a lot harder

 

So the K04

would bring a stock 180TT to 225 hp?

Now with chip I shoudl be at 250/260hp

with exhaust/intake I should be at 275/280hp?


Does that sound about right?

 

no the reason the TT can do the 225 is a little more than that...like injectors, maybe diff fuel pump, stronger internals (rods, pins, etc) diff ecu software and the K04 u cant just put the k04 and have the same bhp as the 225 tt

 

with the mods im adding, do i need to change my fuel pump? injectors?

look at my sig thats what you should do first i look at all those who just chip the car first than ask questions later and it doesnt make sense to me. I'm building my car to handle the chip and added power by it the mods i have i think are very important and thats why i did them first...yea i could of been like everyone else and chip first ask question later but thats not how i am i took care of all my maintence stuff before even modding my car....the only thing i havnt done is the rear diff and i plan on doing that soon as i figure out how. you notice that i did the FMIC and all the hoses before adding a chip. After i install the boost hoses and FMIC and the rear 19mm sway bar i'll chip but not untill then as my car is in storage right now i have parts just waiting to be installed like those boost hoses, FMIC, and the 19mm sway bar cant wait
