yea wtf is up wiht the machine shop ??

 

someone is f'ing around i need to find out who. Im at the point of bashing heads if i dont have my engine back. The person with my car is probably about to sell it w/o the engine here soon or charge me storage fees.

 

dint the shop send the motor to the machine shop themselves? or did you find the machine shop on your own?

 

Took it to a fellow vortex'er and he brought it to his machine shop and is building it for me after it gets machined. Just left him a nastyish message.

Intake temps do have a huge affect.... but only the temp at the intake manifold matters. Unfortunately changing the placement of the intake filter (like 15 feet away from the manifold via tubing) by changing the intake filter placement... you dont make much difference at the manifold because all the heating happens during those 10-15 feet between the filter and manifold.

On a cool day, your intercoolers dissipate heat better and faster.... the engine bay is cooler so it doesnt heat the air as much.. AND the filter intake air is cooler. But just moving the filter to an area 5-10 degrees cooler... wont do sht.

Indeed, I want to get one now, but I may wait a bit and at least make sure my car passes inspectin before spending any money on mods first :-P I cant wait for tyrolSport to send my ecu's back......[:@]
