Roll of the dice from everyhing I've read and heard. Some cars go the full 90 without a hitch, others have shredded between 60 -70

If i recall correctly, there have been accounts of failure as low as 60K, but then, there are people who go much longer. I have a kit sitting on my kitchen floor right now, PO had the timing belt done at 105K, but only the belt and pulleys were replaced. Hows that for a gamble? Its going in next weekend, also doing a haldex fluid/filter/controller change. : ) Got a Haldex Blue on sale for $750

let me know how the blue works out.....i;'m still debating on getting it because from what i've been told when you go big turbo it will put too much stress on the rear diff....but i guess for a stock turbo its fine....

will do.

But from what i've heard, the rear diff is near bulletproof. Can't recall hearing of a failure anywhere.

yeah i know how tough the rear diff is but if you think about it.....its only in use 20% on the oem setup and when you change it to the 50/50 its being used a lot more. this is coming from the guys at Ecodetuning and they have 25 years experience with VAG.....i know i;m gonna go big turbo(64mm and 2.0 bore) in prolly like 2-3 years so thats why i dont know if i wanna spend 750 on something that i would end up selling anyway.....i dont know food for thought!!!
