Default new turbo?

I know this question has been asked a million times but... If I'm just looking for a nice bump in power (let's say ~20hp) after all the regular bolt onsand don't want to go bt just yetis there any reasonI shouldn't just stick a k04 in to replace my k03? It's asmall investment andstraight forward as far as installation goes, so why not?

I'd go with a T3 if you just want a little bit. You can get about 30-50hp from a T3 I believe and it still spools real fast. That is unless you're looking at buying someone else's old 225 after they go big turbo.

If you're just looking though... T3 is a good small upgrade.

Any turbo upgrade will be a pain in the butt solely based on its location. because its very small... it'll be easier though. Im sure there'll need to be some fuel and ecu upgrades... but im sure it'd be minimal since it's such a small increase.

Besides being a smaller, cheaper turbo... becuase its a small increase... a lot of your stock stuff will probably still be fine with it.

once you get the DP + full exhaust, chip, FMIC... w/m is the icing on the hp cake.

the ko4 that bolts on is the ko4-001. it is smaller than a 225's ko4-20 and is the same dimensions as a ko3s found in 2001+ 1.8t's. Not worth the swap, just save for something else. Like said, w/m is the next big hp getting after chip and exhaust
