because driving around with a turbo that hits 20psi @ 4k and running 280whp is not fun. driving with a turbo that hits 20psi by 3300rpms and making 300whp is better if thats all you want.

Look up some Golf, Jetta big turbo kits a 1.8t is a 1.8t, (www.eiptuning.com) now I know that not all of them are the same but for the most part a big turbo setup on any 1.8t is going to give you an idea if you want more info. Its all about lag, if you want huge numbers there has been a 1.8T that has ran over 700 hp on a single turbo setup and only 1.8L of displacement but the lag on those kinda numbers are going to be crazy. Your talking not feeling the full spool untill 6000+ rpms. Bob Q is the one who made those numbers, and it took alot of $$$. You have to decide what you want, then stick with your plan. Myself I want a daily driver, which makes good amout of power, that is safe and reliable. A car that is quick in town light to light, but when I take it to the 1/4 mile it will run mid or low 12's. Once I reach that I will be happy.

If you wanna go crazy might as well take out the back seats and put a V8 in the middle. (RS6 engine, not the drink) Hmm, I wonder how much that would run about.
