The end tanks on the 180 and both 225's are different. There are for some reason 2 different thickness cores that VW used. Not sure which models/years have which, but i know my 2000 had the thicker version.

So this is really not a SMIC delete but rather a upgrade, because he still has a SMIC?

its a muffler delete, and new smic, not smic delete!

the 225 is bigger, its a bit thicker and a bit wider. my 180 is a '00 but im not positive as to what the 225 was. but yes, the mounts are the same and if your looking at it w/o comparing it side by side to the stock 180 then yea they look the same. its only about 3/4 to an inch difference so its hard to notice when theyre not side by side...and yea, no smic delete, muffler delete....
