Default New Roadster Top Options

I bought a TTR a few years back for my wife. The backlight pulled away from the top leaving a spot for water intrusion into the cabin.

What is the best option for a replacement top for these cars? Does anybody make a top where it allows for replacement of just the rear window?

Thanks.

By "backlight", are you referring to the Center Brake Light, which is not a part of the top? Did that break, causing a tear in the rear window?
From what I can tell, the rear window, which contains an electronic heating element, is not available by itself. Don't know where you're located but a company that makes Boat Sails may be able to repair/or make the piece, but the heating element will cause you problems. A Google search will provide options to replace the entire top, which, if I remember, is not as expensive as I thought.

Sorry, backlight is actually the term commonly used in automotive for rear window.

I wouldn't say commonly used, you gotta be the first I've heard refer to a rear window as a backlight

That's a new one on me too.
The window - "backlight" could be temp patched enough to keep water out with silicone or epoxy. Don't know the specifics on the tear. I believe the original my even be stitched in. As I said before - locate a good Sail maker or even try an upholstery shop.

I agree with you beachchair and achTTung. I always read automotive topic like Automotive geek but I never know that “backlight is an automotive term for rear window”. Anyway, you can browse some auto shop store, I think they have what you are looking for the replacement top for your vehicle.
