Default Neone ever try to use a k26 turbo on their 225

Hi,
I'm looking to get the best performace out of my 01 Audi TT 225. Right now I have APR Chip, Forged FMIC, 3" D.P. 3" Exhaust. I was thinking about bypassing the N75 to use a MBC, but I don't know. Also what turbo would I upgrade too? I know that the stock K04 efficiency and range cuts off around 240hp, then it just keeps getting hot. Has anyone ever tried to use a k26 before?Just let me know. Thank You

you can easily replace a n75 with a mbc or even run it inline with it.

Nobody uses a k26 because you can get a garrett t-series or gt series that will outperform the k26 and meet the 1.8t flow better. Plus all the sw is written for it. As for what turbo to get what are your goals?

and people have put down 260whp on a ko4 so saying it cuts out at 240 is crazy.

I just want to get around 310 to 345 to my car! Without having to buy the APR stage 3 because I already have most of that stuff. Regarding the boost controller, what is the hightest psi I can use? I'm running now 20 psi with an apr chip.

highest would be higher 20's but about 24psi seems to be the edge of its effiency.

For that all you need is a gt28rs with a .86 turbine or even 2871r with a .64 turbine (gives more room to grow).
You can also go with a t3t4 5o trim which is almost half of what the gt turbo cost.

the problem is that nobody makes a real kit for the 225 besides apr. Go to pagparts.com and talk to arnold he will get you everything you need but a downpipe. then youll just have to take it to a muffler shop and have one fabbed up unless you know someone that can weld/fab.

www.atpturbo.com They have the bigger turbo upgrade with software and injectors. They make kits just for the 225 with the quattro. Hope this helps
